All public areas (11 galleries) at The Museum of Monarchy, The Tower of Trongsa, Ta-dzong are not accessible by elevators including restrooms. For any additional assistance during your visit, Museum guides are available on all gallery floors during all open museum hours. Whether it is explaining a piece of art, pointing out a beautiful detail, or directing you to a specific part of the museum, the guides are always available to help.
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING Location The Museum of Monarchy, The Tower of Trongsa, Ta-dzong is located in Ta-dzong, Trongsa district in central Bhutan.
Public Transportation The Museum of Monarchy, The Tower of Trongsa, Ta-dzong is located within walking distance from the public bus and taxi stations.
Parking There is a 24-hour parking lot at the South entrance of the Ta-dzong. In addition, there are parking lots on the main highway going towards Eastern Bhutan.
TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT Cameras Photography or videography are not permitted in the museum galleries and is permitted elsewhere. The use of flash or a tripod is prohibited anywhere in the museum. Cellular Phones Cell phone calls are allowed only in the entrance lobby, the cafe' area, and restrooms. Silent use, such as text messaging, is permitted throughout the building. Food and Drink Food and drink purchased at the Tower Cafe may be consumed in the immediate area. No food or drink (including water) is permitted in the galleries or temples.
